Finding Innovative & Creative Solutions for Society (FICS) 2016

This year, FICS was taken beyond the bounds of NUST and the varsity partnered with the National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad to introduce a new domain to its existing list of categories, a discipline that is very important for Pakistan’s economy - the Textile Sector. The programs offered at NTU are similar to the programs run by the NUST School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME). Just as in FICS 2015, students formed multidisciplinary teams from across NUST constituent Schools & Colleges, this year too, the students from various disciplines of Textiles formed teams with NUST students thereby creating meaningful projects combining Textiles (NTU’s strengths) with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and so on.
