DELEGATION FROM COVENTRY UNIVERSITY, UK VISITS NUST

5-member delegation from Coventry University UK and British Council Pakistan, visited NUST Islamabad campus, on January 7, 2020. The delegation comprised: Prof Richard Dashwood, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research; Prof Siraj Shaikh, Institute for Future Transport and Cities; Prof Damien Foster, Director Centre for Data Science; Ms Sarah Parvez, Head of HE & Skills, British Council; and Mr Khawar Abbas, Head of International Education Services, British Council.
A detailed presentation was given to the visiting delegation in order to apprise and introduce NUST as a research-led university contributing to the national Science & Technology (S&T) goals. The delegates appreciated NUST’s fastest trajectory in its global university rankings; and its state-of-the-art facilities provided for its faculty and students to ensure quality teaching, learning and research.
Later, the delegation also had an interactive session at the Central Library with NUST’s young faculty members and students. At the end of session, the delegates also answered the questions of students. 36 participants including faculty members and students from various schools & colleges of NUST, attended the event.
