FOSTERING INDUSTRIAL LINKAGES AS NUST ENGAGES WITH GUARD AGRI ON EMBEDDING TECHNOLOGY IN RICE FIELDS

With the recent escalation in food demand, industries associated with agriculture and food productions are aiming to induct technology in their processes. A team from NUST Innovation & Commercialisation (I&C) Directorate visited Guard Agri that focuses on rice and hybrid seed production. While discussing the R&D work being carried out at Guard, NUST’s team highlighted similar research projects that have been developed and are ready to be commercialised.

Mr Shahzad Ali Malik, the CEO of Guard Group, appreciated NUST’s efforts in deploying their technologies in various industrial scaled projects. As a next step, NUST and Guard will exchange details of the projects relevant to the work being carried out in rice harvesting.
