The NUST x PATH x HARVARD – Building High-Value Health Systems through AI Hackathon was successfully held on April 10–11, 2025, as a joint initiative by the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Harvard University, and PATH. This dynamic cross-institutional collaboration brought together interdisciplinary teams to design and develop AI-powered solutions aimed at strengthening health systems and enhancing healthcare delivery.
Over the course of two intensive days, participants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds came together to prototype innovative tools and strategies to address real-world challenges in global health. The event highlighted the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and underscored the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing equitable, resilient, and sustainable health outcomes worldwide.
The Islamabad Hub hosted the event, where Ms. Sana Maqbool, Director of ICON at NUST, kicked off the activities with a welcome address, setting the tone for a highly engaging and solution-focused event. The hackathon provided an excellent platform for participants to collaborate, innovate, and present actionable solutions to pressing healthcare challenges, making a significant contribution towards the future of health systems.
