STRENGTHENING THE CULTURE OF PROTECTING IP RIGHTS – FICS’21

Finding Innovative and Creative Solutions for Society has been a platform to bring in novel ideas and present them to the industry. This year 257 ideas were registered and thus having 257 reasons to file Intellectual Property rights. In order to facilitate students in securing the intellectual property rights, 03 IP awareness sessions were organised during the first week of March. Dr. Farooq Sultan, Acting GM NUST Intellectual Property Office (NIPO), Mr. Shahbaz Ahmed – AM NIPO and Mr. Mohsin Ali – AM – NIPO where the key speakers for the session.
These sessions pivoted around the general meaning of IP filing and specific categories including Patents, Copyrights, Design and Trademarks. The complete filing process in each category was depicted.
The IP team will facilitate the students further with an aim to get everyone their IP rights.
