CAC brings on board industry and business leaders from a wide range of sectors of the economy, which have been carefully selected and mapped on the basis of academic and research expertise of NUST. The council is structured around 06 all-encompassing and comprehensive sector committees, aligned with NUST Research Themes, contributing to namely Energy, Bio-technology, Automotive & Engg, Defence, Chemical & Materials, Banking & Financial Services, Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Computing, ICT and Infrastructure industries.
Each sector committee, headed by an Industry Co-Chair and a NUST Co- Chair, consists of 10-15 members representing large national organisations, multinationals, SMEs and start-ups. The committee members combine their leadership and experience, and work towards corporate-university liaison for research, resource generation, international collaborations and entrepreneurship.
